Chacha is the holder of PhD in Renewable Energy Biotechnology and MSc. in Integrated Environmental Management both obtained from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She has a BSc. In Environmental Science and Management obtained from Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania. She is currently serving as a lecturer and Head of Environmental Science and Management Department at Ardhi University. She has been conducting researches and consultancies in different disciplines of environmental science since 2005 including renewable energies; resource recovery and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). She is a registered EIA expert and a member of OWSD, TaNEA and Technical Committee Member of the International Organization for Standardization.
